  • Overview

    Responsible for Secondary Market function in accordance with established policies and procedures. Performs any functions within scope of authority and expertise to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to investors and bank personnel.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assists in the evaluation and selection of additions to the investor base.
    • Analyzes financial and loan registration information for loan pricing accuracy within investor guidelines. Registers and locks loan pricing detail with investor.
    • Responsible for the tracking, verification, confirmation and maintenance of investor loan registrations and the status of locked and withdrawn loans.
    • Monitor rate lock expirations, extend rate locks, complete re-locks and adjust locks due to product and pricing changes.
    • Serve as system administrator for the Optimal Blue Product and Pricing Engine. Ensure business rules and parameters are correctly set for accurate pricing; adjust margins as directed by management.
    • Maintain excellent relationships with secondary market investors by actively managing locked pipeline; process and submit documentation for new investor applications and complete periodic re-certifications, as required.
    • Prepare and distribute Bank rate sheets.
    • Monitor investor and competitor rates and prepare competitor rate survey.
    • Order delivery commitments with secondary market investors as needed to sell loans. Monitor outstanding secondary market commitment amounts and expiration dates, extend commitments, complete re-locks, and adjust commitments due to product changes.
    • Assist with shipping loans to secondary market investors for purchase.
    • Prepare reports as requested by management. 
    • Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.






    Must have five plus years of residential lending experience, with at least four years of secondary market/investor sales experience.

    Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

    Thorough knowledge of secondary marketing related to mortgage banking.

    Experience with Optimal Blue Product and Pricing Engine is desired.

    Experience with MortgageBot Loan Operating System is desired.

    FiServ Cleartouch system and IRIS system is desired.
